Prof. Wojciech Sumelka, Vice-rector for Research at the Poznan University of Technology was awarded for significant achievements in the field of scientific activity;
Prof. Sławomir Rosolski, and prof.. Edward Szczechowiak received the award for the implementation of an original design achievement based on the implementation of a nearly zero-energy building of the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering Management of the Poznan University of Technology
Prof. Elżbieta Frąckowiak was honoured for her entire professional achievements.
The awards and distinctions were presented during the first day of the World Copernican Congress, which was also the Day of Polish Science. On this occasion, the Minister of Education and Science presented awards to outstanding scientists representing various fields of science.
The winners were honoured for merits in five categories: significant achievements in the field of scientific activity, didactic activity, implementation, organizational activity and entire professional achievements.
“These are great distinctions for our researchers and the entire academic community, an additional one on such a special day. I would like to point out that we have applied for these three awards" - says prof. Teofil Jesionowski, rector of the Poznan University of Technology.
